Abel Tasman Haven is located in Marahau, at the top of New Zealand's South Island (known as the mainland to Kiwis) which means you will be well placed for Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks.
This is the gateway to the Abel Tasman, putting you near the start of the Abel Tasman Coastal Track.
You won't have to take the car to hike, tramp, kayak or to spend a leisurely day cruising along the Abel Tasman coastline in a water taxi. Keep an eye open for dolphins, penguins and seals as you go.
The Tasman and Nelson regions are not only the sunniest in New Zealand but arguably the finest from the visitor's perspective.
There are plenty of interesting things to do in the area if you have time to wander further afield.
You can go on a wine tour to taste the region's famous wines, go trout fishing, play golf, tramp or hike in spectacular wilderness, sea kayak, or maybe visit the arts and crafts markets for that special something to remember your visit by.
There are too many diversions to list here, time is your only limit.
